I work today from 2 to 10. I am excited/nervous! because I haven’t been for a while.
It’s snowy out. I don’t get it.

It’s snowing again. I’m cold.
I didn’t write today. This wasn’t because I was lazy it was because I was busy. Also, I need to find perspective.
I took apart my chair today. You know, my chair. Brown, wooden, I made it at Camosun. It’s been under my bed holding sheets. Now it’s two pieces of wood and some sticks. And some screws, because they all came out.
I have new slippers. They are light green and warm. Also, fuzzy inside.
I got more done today. I’m learning Photoshop. I wrote a little but I’ve grown to close and have to step back a little. I’m taking the events I write too hard, you know?
Another thing making me feel bad is French. Nothing against French. I had a dream where I had to write a French test final exam after only having gone to one class all term. I think I did ok but I woke up before the teacher could mark it. Now when I look at the French side of products I feel a little stressed.
I’ve mentioned this before: Seriously. When I get stuck with the plot in my writing all I have to do is watch an episode or two of Hana Yori Dango and I remember what’s supposed to happen next. It’s not really plagerism, just a little boost. I am SO NOT ADDICTED.
DID YOU KNOW that there’s a second series of the Live Action Hana Yori Dango? I watched the first episode this afternoon. It was awfully cluttered full of lots of plot twists from the manga. Yes. I liked it. Coincidentally, the ending of this epidsode was right exactly where I am stuck in my novel right now. So intense.
Bumblebees.
I wish I accomplished more today but I had to spend a lot of time doing lots of little things. Like student loan paperwork. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww! The good news is that the paperwork is the only thing to complain about since I can actually make payments on them. AND I even paid one off. I tried to, anyway. They haven’t sucked my bank account of the amount yet EVEN THOUGH I sent in the paper. I want them to do this soon so I can throw all the papers I have to do with that loan away and never think about it again.
One down. Three to go. Go team.
The power went off again last night due to wind or something. I was already tucked into be so I just picked up my flashlight that was handy from when the power went out three days ago and continued to read. Then I went to sleep.
I found a story that I suppose I wrote since it’s in with all my stuff but I so cannot remember writing it. Here’s a good part.
Holy shoo. Guess who just got her scroll button to [delete] again? I am beyond addicted to being able to [delete] when I click it. It’s all about the editing, you know?
I’ve been reading alot about my favorite TV shows lately on the internet. This is because if I put my chair at the right height so my head tilts up just so, my nose doesn’t run. I have a cold. This is no excuse though. I could be reading the Wiki article on string theory or something else basic but thinky.
Corrie is better to read about because I have potentially nine months of shows to catch up on. (That is how far behind CBC is. This is from “years of pre-emptions” according to the “Ask CBC questions” show I watched once.) However, things happen very slowly on Coronation St. and take so long to develop nothing is really a surprise to me.
I haven’t been reading about Hana Yori Dango save that the new series started today in Japan. I don’t know how long the subs will take to get out because, fortunately, I didn’t find out about the first series until it was just over so I could download them all at the same time without the heartache of having to wait each week.
I also read that the OC is cancelled after Feb 20? I don’t really care about that, only that I’m pretty sure this happened because I started watching it again, like, last week. It’s a Fox show though, so cancellation was pretty much bound to happen isn’t it?
I totally used the word “feat” yesterday in a story. I totally had to look it up because I don’t think I’ve ever used it before. Hoorah for seldom used vocab.
I keep dreaming that I’m late (for work!) and I can’t find anything to wear. The night before last I couldn’t find the proper socks and last night I had a backpack full of clothes but none of them went together in a pleasing way. I was all anxious in both.
Last night I typed to the end of a sentence and the power went off. I totally just went to bed. My document was nicely recovered this morning so good.
I saw Amber today. I didn’t even just see her, I also talked to her and poked her a bit too. She is so superior.
Yesterday was boxing day and I spent the whole day fiddling with my new computer. Large percentages of this time “fiddling” was, I suppose, being able to watch Live Action Hana Yori Dango on a full screen. And for one thing, I can’t make my mouse’s scroll wheel do [delete] when I click it anymore. But that’s like the only thing that is troublesome and I will probably get over that. I have messenger back, so that’s good for sometimes. And I’ve started using Open Office, which is a step up from the Office 97 that I was using before, although the interface looks slightly different so I haven’t been able to write anything with it yet. (Just not comfortable with how it looks. That’s probably a writer thing. Just admitting it here makes me feel silly but that’s just how it is.)
I also like that I can make my taskbar green instead of blue in XP. Taskbar? The strip going across the bottom of the screen. It can also be moved to the top, which I do sometimes when I’m bored and procrastinating.
Writing about my computer is very boring, but it’s what’s in my head and I haven’t done anything interesting with it yet to report. Except talk to Kimberly in Quesnel this morning. The “s” in “Quesnel” is silent. If you shuffle the letters around, however, you get “Queen L”. (I made the “s” invisible as well as silent in that last one).
