Guess who bought a ticket to see Cirque de Soleil in Toronto?
Guess who wrote a Tiny String for July just in the nick of time?
Guess who has a tummy ache whenever she eats meat for some reason…
Guess who did the mid-summer dance school mail-out today? 346 envelopes! All lovingly hand-stuffed, sealed and stamped!
Guess who watched “Doctor Who”? And then decided that any time she is watching British Television she is going to call it “Telly”?
Guess who is going to Victoria on Wednesday to visit Susan and buy pants?
Guess who finished reading her favorite book again and is now a little sad even though it’s probably the tenth time she’s read it?
Guess who has to find a new book to read?
Guess who’s going to Ottawa and Toronto and St. John’s in a little over a week and getting well excited about it??!!
OOh! Guess who has ballet tomorrow at 7 p.m. at studio “B”?
The answer to all of these is LINDSIE!
(By the by, are “guess who” sentences questions or, like, commands?)ps. the book I just read is not Harry Potter if you were wondering, even though if I were really diligent and into it I probably could have read it ten times by now. No. Harry Potter is SO last weekend. It was “Villains By Necesity” of course! It has an assassin in it, and proving once againg that I don’t know how to spell “neccessary”. I’m now in that mourning period that comes after reading a good book and not having that particular world to escape to anymore. Now I have to find another place to escape to, and I’m tired…
-
I told my mum about the dream I had where I was buying a fancy yo-yo from Japan. Mum then called me “Yo-yo Girl” and giggled.
I also had a dream where I was at the pool, and there was a hot tub, but the hot tub was actually a stove. When I went to get into the hot tub, someone turned one of the knobs to turn an element on. I decided I wasn’t interested anymore. (Upon hearing this one, Mum considered calling me “Stove Girl” but didn’t think it had the same ring to it.)
-
Wait a sec…
I had to ice my wrist because it is hurting. Icing my wrist is not pleasant and makes it hurt more from coldness. It’s my right wrist so I’m not too concerned. I’m not so sentementally attached to my right wrist and hand as I am to my left. (Even though I probably do more, in all technicallity, with my right, I am still considered “left handed” since that is the side with which I write.)
I have made my list for things to pack for my trip. It will probably get longer as time goes on as that is the way with me, stuffing things in at the last minute. I have remembered to include “pajamas” on the list, so hopefully these go along. I have new pajamas to take, so also hopefully they are taken.
I have a ballet class this evening. How starved I am! Remembering the summer I lived in Vancouver and took a ballet class every week through the summer. Almost every week. Pretty lazy. Even today after wanting to have a class for the past month and a bit, I am thinking to myself, eh, do I really want to go? Strange how the mind goes.

I totally just edited. I changed a period into a semi-colon and adjusted capitalization accordining.
One day a few weeks ago Sid (cat) was curled up and sleeping in the middle of the lawn. I’ve never seen a cat do that and thought he may have expired, but he was just sleeping. I showed him to mum and dad and they mocked him and then he woke up and came inside. Maybe there had been a sunny spot there? Or maybe he just got tired on his way somewhere. Daft kitty.
ps I was just at Duncan Wal-Mart. Mum bought pop and an inflatable bed. I just carried.

Yesterday I went to work at 8 in the morning. This meant that I had to get up just after 6:30. I am not used to doing this anymore. I wasn’t tired though so that’s good. I had about 2/3 of my travel mug of tea. I didn’t drink it all but no one says that I have to drink all of my tea. It was early but there is still no excuse for the following incident: The box the juice was in and the box my soy milk was is were the same colour so I poured orange juice into my oatmeal and almost into my tea as well. Almost pouring it into my tea was probably worse even than having flavoured oatmeal though because it occurred sometime after I had already poured it into my oatmeal and then dumped it out and said to myself that gosh, those containers are the same colour.
I haven’t had tea yet today but I have to wait now because the kitchen is drying.
I am going on a trip in two weeks. I haven’t started packing yet but today I thought that I should keep up with my laundry so that when the time comes I will have things to pack. Like underwear and such. I don’t think I have anything left to buy before I go, however, I should start a list so I don’t have to do everything at the last minute. Conveniently, I work on the day before I leave so last minute things will be hard to do. I should also find a notebook to start writing things in (a list, for example) and to take with me so I have something to write in on the plane(s). I wonder if anyone wants a postcard from Newfoundland? Lucky that I already have everyone’s addresses so they will get one whether they think they want one or not.

Lindsie: (scratching an itch on her arm) I think I’m allergic to mockery.
Mum and Dad: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
“I get to go to work tomorrow” is the official line I take. The unofficial line will not be published, of course. But when I looked at my datebook to a blank week I didn’t really want to say no (that, and will get more money for which I am greedy).
My back is sore and I got up too late. Groggy!
-
Finshed Harry Potter…. yes!
Now I’m all emotional about it and my head is loopy. So it’s just like after I’ve read any of the other HP books.
I want to watch Little Miss Sunshine again and I can because I still have it out from the video rental store.
I’ve been drinking lots of tea! Yesterday I made some with soymilk. Like, brewed it in soymilk, which I don’t usually do but it was good.
I keep coming up with ideas for Tiny String that I don’t want to do. That has to stop or else there will be no July episode; and with no good reason like there was in February. It would be cool, however, to do number ten in Sept for like the one year anni. Or whatever. I think I’m on nine now. I keep forgetting what number I’m on. Soon I’m going to start skipping because I didn’t go back to check and I like to get them out fast once I have the idea. Maybe there won’t be in one in August because I’ll be away for half of it. I’ll be in transit on the 14th… what am I going to do about that? 15 years makes it longer writing it in my life than not writing it. (And cussing this week because one of the sections is comprised entirely of fragments where I was sure I had something more solid. Not talking about it.)
I have to watch Deadwood again because I couldn’t make out half of what they were saying.

Things seem more intense sometimes when you whisper them.
I worked my first normal weekday shift today. The last time I had a normal weekday shift was in October and I was “being trained” and I didn’t remember a thing about it except that on that day I got to eat in the cafeteria instead of ordering in. It wasn’t even normal, though, since there were no students– which isn’t exactly true since I saw one who will be attending next year and one who is working on campus for the summer. But it’s not a stat holiday or anything and so there were people around and the phone was ringing. The day went quickly.
I keep wanting tea, like, all the time. Jasmine tea smells and tastes like flowers. I sang a song about this today:
Jasmine tea!
It smells like flowers!
And tastes like flowers, too!!I can’t believe I’m not a famous songwriter. The front door was open as I wrote it and I wished upon wishy-wishing things that someone was just coming up to knock. No one though.
Tomorrow my plans are thus: get up. Eat breakfast (not oatmeal though because we’re out) drive to Volume One Bookstore. Purchase Harry Potter 7. Drive home. Commence reading Harry Potter 7.
Sounds like a good day. I’ll probably drink some tea too
